Wedding planning can be stressful, especially when you start worrying about things not being exactly as you had hoped. One thing I didn't have to worry about was my hair. From the beginning, I always knew the only person I would trust doing my hair was Lois. She had done my hair for a couple formal events. She works alone, yet she works fast and i've seen her finish many people's hair and makeup in record time!, Everyone always looks awesome! and our hair stays in place all night, despite hours of dancing and running around. Lois really takes the time to make sure everyone is happy with their hair. In preparing for hair trials, we've spent lots of time emailing back and forth hairstyle ideas that everyone likes and that will hold best with that particular girl's hair. At the hair trials, she makes sure that you are 100% happy with your hair from every angle. Thanks Lois for always doing a great job! and for the time, effort and care you put into making everyone happy! I will definitely use Lois again (actually… my sister's already booked her wedding!!!) and would recommend her services to everyone!

I have never met a hairstylist quite like Lois. Even the “professional” ones in the salons don't compare to her talent. The first time Lois did my hair was in college, and I was in line with many other girls, waiting my turn. She cranked us out like a factory worker, each of us with beautifully-coifed styles, all unique and to our liking. Most recently, I brought her on as the stylist for my four bridesmaids and myself in May 2007. Prior to the wedding day, I had 2 trials with Lois and both times she had asked me to bring as many pictures of styles as I could. She was realistic during the consultation, letting me know that certain styles would not work too well with my type of hair (thick, straight, and coarse). I was ecstatic with the results and all my bridesmaids loved their hair, as well. Lois is SUPER quick yet extremely careful in detail. She takes pride in her work, so she'll never make you look bad. She's laid-back and makes you feel cool and comfortable during the entire process, so you can worry about everything else besides your hair.

My wedding day was a whirlwind but having Lois, who is also my friend, was very comforting. She is extremely calm and extremely organized. She means business when she brings her wheely bag and sets up all her gear. If you don't know what you want, she is so creative that she can find you a hairstyle that fits your face (and even your personality if she knows you). She did an amazing job for my bridesmaids and I! She did a lot of brainstorming and prep work to make sure the hairstyles fit and that each one was unique and not not "prom-like." Thanks Lois!

The first time Lois ever styled my hair was for a formal event during college and I was really impressed with the end result. After that I became a repeat customer. I’ve asked her to do a range of hairstyles for me for various events: she’s done everything from simple and elegant (think French twist) to intricate and funky (think cornrows, twisted knots, and spiky ends!). I really believe that when it comes to hair, she can do just about anything.
So needless to say, I didn’t want anyone except Lois to style my hair on my wedding day. I also enlisted Lois to style hair for my six bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. You may think that sounds cruel to pit one hairstylist against nine people but I knew from experience that she could handle it. Lois is not only extremely talented and creative but also extremely efficient.
My bridesmaids and I were all impressed by Lois’s pre-wedding preparations. She asked us to describe or submit pictures of what we were envisioning for our hairstyles. And then she would respond with suggestions and provide her professional opinion as to whether the hairstyles would work with our individual hair types. She also developed a detailed schedule to minimize confusion on the big day.
Lois didn’t miss her mark. Everyone was finished on time and everyone looked wonderful. I honestly couldn’t have been more pleased. Each of my bridesmaids’ hairstyles was unique and all the hairstyles stayed in place throughout the night. Her work garnered much praise from the guests and even the caterer took notice and insisted that Lois give her her contact information so that she could book her for her daughter’s future wedding!
Talent aside, Lois is extremely professional but not strictly-business. She makes you feel comfortable about going to her with your requests and never ever makes you feel like you’re being demanding. She understands that whether it’s for your wedding, your prom or any formal event, it is an important event for you and she goes to great lengths to make sure you are satisfied with the way you look.
